Doublemint Gum on School Conduct Slip

This piece is inspired by my good friend and mentor Bibbe Hansen who tells me to create EVERY DAY even if it means sticking a used gum wrapper to a piece of paper and signing your name to it.

This piece is an elementary school conduct slip off centered glued to a piece of pink card stock. There are several things in this work that make it personal: 1) My signature, 2) Act Respectfully being noted as the needed behavior, and 3) my right thumb print pressed into the gum. For me, the artist, my thumbprint in the gum feels the most meaningful.
