Brian Berlin - Without a Kiss album cover

Without a Kiss is the third of four albums I released during the summer of 2024. The four albums contain seventy-five songs, all together. Although, I’ve been writing songs since 1995, I started taking it seriously as an artistic endeavor in 2019. These four albums are an anthology of my best work since 2019–songs that are in active rotation in my live performances. There are six or seven album’s worth of music here. As of this writing, the following groupings represent my live sets:

  • Tracks 1 through 12 on Last Drop make a nice set of twelve songs.
  • Tracks 13 through 20 on Last Drop and tracks 1 through 3 on Mirror Things also stand well on their own.
  • Tracks 4 through 15 on Mirror Things are essentially a third album.
  • Tracks 16 through 20 on Mirror Things and Tracks 1 through 7 on Without a Kiss make up the fourth major grouping
  • The remainder of Without a Kiss and Night Flowers are either songs newer songs written in 2024 or songs that aren’t aren’t in heavy rotation.

The titles of each of the four albums were taken from randomized words from the titles of songs contained in them.

These albums are not polish-perfect albums. Most of them are unedited recordings of me singing with a guitar and maybe a harmonica refrain. I’m not the worlds best singer, guitarist, or harmonica player. But I didn’t want that to stop me from sharing these songs with you. Truth be told, I rarely sing any song the same way twice in a row. So, these are just snapshots of a moment in time.

I hope you enjoy listening to these songs as much as I’ve enjoyed writing and singing them.
