My self-driving pickup truck done drove away from me
I bought her brand new back in twenty twenty-three
She left me stranded, weepin’ ‘neath this willow tree
My pickup truck done drove away from me
I sometimes change the oil, but seldom check the tires
The Hi-Fi stereo system’s just a jumble of wires
Someone scraped her fender, I swear it wasn’t me
But that’s why my self-driving pickup truck left me
My self-driving pickup truck done drove away from me
I bought her brand new back in twenty twenty-three
She left me stranded, weepin’ ‘neath this willow tree
My pickup truck done drove away from me
She wouldn’t pass inspection, I had to slip some cash
I should have paid attention to that light upon her dash
Funny stickers on the window make it hard to see
That’s why my self-driving pickup truck left me
And now, for the other side of the story
Beep, beep…
Twice we dodged the state patrol and never once were caught
In four more years, I think I might finally pay her off
I never could afford that extended warranty
And that’s why my self-driving pickup truck left me
My self-driving pickup truck done drove away from me
I bought her brand new back in twenty twenty-three
She left me stranded, weepin’ ‘neath this willow tree
My pickup truck done drove away from me
My pickup truck done drove away from me
Yeah, that’s why my self-driving pickup truck left me
