I save my money, I drive a used truck
I play it safe and don’t press my luck
I cook in my kitchen whenever I can
You might describe me an ordin’ry man
If my ship ever comes in
I’ll solve all the problems that money can
But if I must work for the rest of my days
I’ll be just fine livin’, livin’ within my means
My friends all drive new cars, they have bigger homes
Mostly obsess keepin’ up with the Joneses
While I’m cuttin’ coupons and mending my jeans
They’re rubbin’ elbows and spillin’ Champaigne
If my ship ever comes in
I’ll solve all the problems that money can
But if I must work for the rest of my days
I’ll be just fine livin’, livin’ within my means
If my ship ever comes in
I’ll solve all the problems that money can
But if I must work for the rest of my days
I’ll be just fine livin’, livin’ within my means
