Siren Song

the tender touch of your fingers
these whispered words in my ear
like siren song to old sailors
my self-control disappears
but why do you draw me still closer
and tighten your grip on my arm?
the tone in your strain turns uneasy
transposing my faith to alarm
I feared—I was warned this might happen
and I should have known what to do
like siren song to old sailors
you draw me—oh god—into you
